H. Beaber - In the Phillipines - Monday, December 8, 1942-1945

Monday morning, we got the news by paper of the attack on Pearl Harbour and what a change came over the city. People began rushing around with no place to go and immediately transportation was at a premium. The Army took over 82 of the Meralso buses and many of the taxis and trucks in town were commandeered.

Otherwise, Monday was quiet, had a complete blackout that night.
